Bert celebrates 2007
Wow! I'm eight years old. I'm rapidly catching up to the old geezer in
human years. In three more years we'll both be almost the same age.
A new use for Boykins:
 |
The old geezer now turns me loose in the Snake River and
uses me as a temperature gauge. If I smile that means the water is just
right for smallmouth bass, but if I'm wearing a frown and don't seem to
like the water, it's time to head home and pop the cap on a Miller Lite.

This look means get ready for some action. The
smallmouth and the channel cats are coming calling.
And you know - I was right. The old geezer caught 5 smallmouth,
topped by a 17 incher, and 3 channel cats on the bass lures, including a
whopping 10 pounder. His luck was undoubtedly a result of my spreading
Boykin scent in this pool. It's like chumming. |
