Carlton & Rochester Fishing Reels
of Rochester, N.Y.

by Phil White.

This booklet details the history of Harvey Carlton and his Carlton Manufacturing Company as well as describing and illustrating the reels produced by this very collectible company. There are catalog illustrations of all known reels as well as many color photographs.

The second section relates the known information about the Rochester Reel Company of Rochester, NY. This is not the company that produced the well known Rochester reels of New York City, but is a little known company that existed for approximately two years (1907-09), and produced a full line of reels - most of which were identical to, and stamped "Carlton Mfg. Co.". However, they did produce several unique reels, and variations of the better known Carlton reels. I don't believe the information about this company and their reels has ever been put in print before.

Author Phil White spent over 10 years gathering information about Carlton and Rochester reels, and is still researching the Rochester Reel Company of 90 Chambers Street, New York City. The findings will be presented in a booklet at a later date.

This booklet contains patent information about all Carlton Patents, and current reel values for all the Carlton and Rochester reels.

This booklet is signed and numbered. It is 32 pages long, contains eight full color photographs, and dozens of illustrations. This book is soft covered, 5.5 x 8.5 inches with a heavy stock, full color cover.
