The Horton Mfg. Co.
 The Horton Manufacturing
Company, of Bristol, CT. was a successful manufacturer of fishing
tackle from the 1880's until the 1950's. It all started with a metal
telescopic fishing rod produced by Everett Horton who wanted to
sneak off and fishing on Sunday. This was back in 1887. Over the
years Horton Mfg. Co. produced more than steel rods. To see some of
