bulletCampbell, A. J., Classic & Antique Fly Fishing Tackle, 1997. Some fine information about old time fly tackle manufacturers, including reel makers. 
bulletCarbaugh, Gary & Spurr, Dick, Colorado Reels and old Fishing Tackle, 1994. All those unusual side cast spinning reels, and other things are covered in this book. [Link]
