Shimano Bantam casting reels, starting with the silver Bantam 100, and
concluding with the introduction of the popular "C" series of Bantams,
the Chronarch, Curado, etc. These Shimano reels are described in
detail, and every model is illustrated with a color photograph - most
including the original box. The book contains 198 pages with 285 color
photographs.
The main parts of the book provide complete information about the
original or 1st generation Bantams; The 2nd Generation reels (Magnumlites,
SpeedMasters, Beast Masters, etc); the 3rd Generation reels
(Chronarch, Curado, etc). Details on each model include: the years
each reel was catalogued, gear ratios, weight, line capacity,
bearings, introductory list price, features, and the Shimano reel
code. Information is also provided in chapters covering early Japanese
Market Bantams, Bantam Go-Withs, and the codes, charts and timelines
that will make your collecting more informative and easier.
